The Exorcist
So last night, I decided for my viewing pleasure to watch “The Exorcist.” Now, some might argue that it isn’t the best film to watch for the first time in a pitch black room at 1 in the morning, but what do I know? It was my first time…
So I am lying in my bed, and I watch the first half hour...ok...priest at some dig site...actress with daughter..I got that.
Eventually we get to the demon possession, the mysterious death, the projectile green vomit, the doctors and priests who don’t want to admit what is really going on....
The head flipping around 360 degrees...the girl talking in Latin and French…
The younger priest coming in to finding the elder one dead, with the smirking little girl...the younger priest, possessed, flying out the window....finally the film’s credits.....
I then proceded to turn off the television, turn out my light, and fall fast asleep.
Can someone please tell me why in the world people say this is the most frightening film made? I did everything right...late night viewing, lights were out, etc. I normally don’t watch horror films, and I am a person who will cover her eyes when I am scared. I really do scare quite easily...or so I thought. I didn’t even flinch during this film. What is wrong with me???!!!
Close it Up
